Kyle and Jules are high school students in your school’s dual credit program. Two other students in the program, looking for supplies in an empty classroom, discover Kyle and Jules, who are mostly undressed and kissing.

Jules screams for them to get out, and they both quickly get dressed. The two students who found Kyle and Jules in the classroom start telling other students, and it becomes what everyone in the program is talking about. An instructor eventually overhears and shares the incident with the CARE team.

Jules doesn’t attend classes for the rest of the week and doesn’t answer phone/text messages from the school or friends. Jules attends the required meeting with the program head and parents, who are clearly angry and tell Jules that skipping classes must stop.

Jules goes back to class but avoids the other students and is dressed in sweats rather than the put-together outfits that had previously been worn. Julies is much quieter and more withdrawn than before this happened. The instructor thinks he sees some cuts on Jules’s arm when she reaches to take an assignment the instructor is handing back. Jules mentions to one friend that there have been “nasty” messages from male students in the class, and while Jules doesn’t elaborate, it is clear Jules is trying to avoid the boys in class and flinches when the phone vibrates with an incoming message.
